Delete Your Account
This page explains how to delete your Game Recall account. Game Recall is published by Stataholics LLC.
Delete it yourself, in the app
This is the fastest route and takes effect immediately. No request, no waiting.
- Open Game Recall and make sure you're signed in.
- Open Settings (the account icon in the top-right of any main screen).
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm. You may be asked to sign in again first — that's a security check to prove the account is yours.
Don't have the app installed?
Email admin@gamerecallapp.com from the email address on the account, with the subject "Delete my account". We'll confirm and complete the deletion within 30 days. We may need to ask a question or two to confirm the request really came from the account holder.
What gets deleted
- Your sign-in (the Google or Apple identity linked to the account).
- Your stored profile — the name and email address we received when you signed in. This is deleted outright, not archived.
- The link between you and any player profile you had claimed. Every claim is released, so no player on any roster is connected to you any more.
What is kept, and why
Deleting your account does not erase the teams and games you took part in. Statistics in Game Recall belong to a team, not to one person: a manager scored those games, and other players' records are built from the same box scores. Removing them would damage other people's history.
- Kept: team rosters, game history, box scores, play-by-play, and season and career statistics. A player profile you had claimed simply becomes unclaimed — the player, their jersey number, and their stats stay with the team, no longer linked to you.
- Kept: any chat messages you sent during a live game, along with the display name shown when you sent them. Chat is a record of a game as it happened, so messages are not rewritten afterwards. You can delete your own messages yourself at any time before deleting your account, and the team's manager can delete any message at any time.
- Deleted with the team: if you are the owner of a team, deleting that team from within the app removes its roster, games, and statistics for everyone. Do this before deleting your account if you want the team gone too — once your account is deleted, you can no longer manage it.
Deleting some of your data, without deleting your account
You don't have to delete your account to remove data from Game Recall. Each of these is done inside the app and takes effect immediately.
- A single game. Open the game from your team's Games tab, then choose Delete game from the menu in the top-right and confirm. This removes that game's box score and play-by-play, and takes its contribution back out of every player's season and career totals.
- A whole team you own. Open the team, then Team settings → Delete Team. This removes the roster, every season, every game, and all statistics for that team, for everyone on it. Only the team's owner can do this.
- A player on a roster you manage. Roster tab, open the player's menu, then Remove from roster.
- A chat message you sent. Long-press the message during or after the game and choose Delete message. A team's manager can also delete any message on their game.
Prefer not to do it yourself, or no longer have the app? Email admin@gamerecallapp.com from the address on your account, describing what you'd like removed. We'll confirm and action it within 30 days.
What's kept in each case is the rest of the team's record — deleting one game doesn't touch the others, and removing a player from a roster doesn't delete the games that were already played. Deleting a team removes everything belonging to it.
Retention
Removal from the live database happens immediately when you delete your account, and we keep no separate archive of deleted accounts. Residual copies may persist for a short period in the routine backups of our infrastructure providers (Google Firebase) and our error-reporting provider (Sentry), and age out under their own retention schedules. See the Privacy Policy for who those providers are and what they process.
